On June 24, 1997, Prime Minister Dr. Kamal Ganzouri appointed international banker Sherif W. Raafat Chairman of the Cairo & Alexandria Stock Exchange.

Director Concord International Partners and partner in Concord International Investments, NY, USA.

Marketing the services of Concord to investors in the UK, US and Egypt. In the past two years as part of the Concord team that has initiated the business development effort in Egypt, started the two Banque Misr mutual funds, the offshore Egypt Investment Company, a closed end company listed on the London Stock Exchange; the Egyptian Growth Investment Company, an open end fund listed in London and was advisor to Citibank NA in the issuance of the five year LE 200 million floating rate note listed on Cairo Stock Exchange.
